  7. Ruben Gallego was a director for a company that faced a federal investigation for allegedly committing Medicare fraud in Arizona. Meanwhile, Gallego supports a plan that could harm seniors’ access to healthcare.
  8. Despite being paid a taxpayer-funded salary of $174,000 per year (more than double the median household income in Arizona), Ruben Gallego skipped nearly 100 votes in the House, giving away his vote to other elected officials, and now wants voters to give him a promotion.
  9. Ruben Gallego told voters he “didn’t come to Congress just to check in every day and vote on post offices, yet over the last decade that Gallego has served in Congress, only 3% of the bills he has introduced have become law. And one of those bills was, in fact, to name a post office.
  10. Over his years in public office, Ruben Gallego has failed to disclose several positions and assets, each of which may constitute a separate violation of state and federal ethics rules.
  11. Ruben Gallego has garnered a reputation for demeaning treatment of colleagues, especially women, and has had formal sexual harassment complaints filed against him.
  12. During his time in the Arizona State Legislature, Ruben Gallego was referred to as “The Troll”; The “short stout man…would pop up at the weirdest times always demanding something.”
  13. Ruben Gallego hired a felon convicted of embezzling money from a union to serve as a senior adviser to his Senate exploratory committee.
  1. Ruben supports slashing over $800 billion from Medicare, endangering healthcare access for our seniors.
  2. Ruben Gallego pushed for legislation backed by Bernie Sanders and “The Squad” that would have established a radical single-payer Medicare for All healthcare system. Medicare for All is so extreme that even Joe Biden opposed it and warned Americans it would end Medicare as we know it today. This extreme plan:
  1. Would cost more than $32 trillion dollars.
  2. Could have significantly increased taxes.
  3. Could force rural hospitals like the seventeen in Arizona, to close their doors, threatening the health, jobs, and income of hardworking families in rural areas.
  4. Could increase wait times and reduce access to care, a potential life-altering detriment for older Americans.
  5. Would eliminate all private health insurance plans, as well as Medicare and Medicare Advantage, which is used by our seniors to pay for the medications they need. Medicare For All would also abolish Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, Tricare, and the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

  3. “Outspoken Arizona liberal,” Ruben Gallego has been a longtime supporter of Kamala Harris. Gallego even endorsed her 2020 Presidential bid in which Kamala proudly campaigned on radical, far-left progressive platform.
  4. Ruben Gallego voted to allow biological male transgender athletes to compete against our daughters in high school and college sports.
  5. Ruben Gallego co-sponsored legislation that would allow biological men who identify as a women to access women’s abuse shelters.
  6. Ruben Gallego proudly touted his endorsement from a group that backs puberty blockers, transgender surgeries for minors.
  7. Ruben Gallego pushed for legislation to allow our tax-dollars to be used in schools to promote or encourage sexual activity by underage students.
  8. Ruben Gallego voted to allow states – including Arizona – to ban gas-powered cars.
  9. Ruben Gallego is part of the problem in Washington. He supported the divisive impeachment of President Trump that tore our country apart.
